MATS 2026: What It’s Really Like

We just wrapped up our first time attending MATS 2026 in Louisville, Kentucky—and honestly, we didn’t know what to expect.
From show trucks to industry tech to finally meeting so many people we’ve only talked to online… this ended up being so much more than just a truck show.
And somehow, every single day felt completely different.
What MATS Is (and Why It Matters)
The Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) is one of the largest trucking events in the U.S., bringing together drivers, companies, brands, and innovators all in one place.
What stood out most to us? There really is something for everyone.
Whether you’re there to see show trucks, dive into the industry, grow your business, or just be around people who understand life on the road—this event brings all of it together.
Our Experience at MATS 2026 - Time with Truck Parking Club
We spent a lot of time with our friends at Truck Parking Club—both at their indoor booth and outside—and it honestly became one of the anchors of our entire show experience.
From catching up in person to jumping on a live together (which we always love—lives are where the real interaction happens), it was one of those moments that reminded us how much this industry is built on relationships.
Being able to connect both on and off camera is something we don’t take for granted.
The Trucks (and the Cabovers 👀)
Seeing the finished cabover in person was such a moment.
And honestly—it felt like we saw more cabovers in one place than we ever have before.
You just don’t see many of them out at truck stops anymore, so getting to experience that many up close, all in one place, was something special.
It felt like stepping into a part of trucking that you don’t always get to see on the road anymore.
Time with BlueParrott
We also got to spend time with BlueParrott and see some of the latest technology they’re working on—and we’re genuinely excited about what’s coming.
There are a few things we can’t wait to share with you soon (including an upcoming unboxing 👀), and it was really cool to get a closer look at where communication gear for drivers is heading.
This is definitely one we’re looking forward to diving into more.
Connecting with American Truck Historical Society
One of the highlights for us was spending time with the American Truck Historical Society.
There’s something really special about seeing the history of trucking preserved and brought together like that—especially in an industry that’s constantly evolving.
It added a completely different layer to the show, and we’re really looking forward to covering more with them at their event in June.
The People
If there’s one thing that stood out across all three days—it’s the people.
Getting to meet so many of you in person after connecting online… that’s what made this experience what it was.
We did miss a few people, which just means next time we’ll be coming in with an even better plan.
What Surprised Us
The biggest surprise was just how much there is to see.
We truly saw something different every single day. There was no repeat feeling—just new areas, new people, and new experiences each time we walked in.
Also… the amount of walking is no joke 😅
Tips If You’re Going to MATS
Plan ahead
Wear comfortable shoes
Give yourself more than one day
Don’t try to see everything in a single visit - Because you won’t—and honestly, you shouldn’t.
The best way to experience MATS is to take it in piece by piece.
Our Favorite Moments
There were a lot, but a few standouts:
Seeing the cabovers all in one place
Spending time with Truck Parking Club
Connecting with ATHS and the history side of trucking
The opening breakfast and getting a better understanding of the industry as a whole
And of course…
Dasha somehow made her way to the 7/11 booth every single day for a free slushy—we tried every flavor 😂
Why This Matters for Drivers
Events like MATS are a reminder of how much opportunity exists in this industry.
Whether you’re looking to grow, learn, connect, or just be part of something bigger—there’s a place for you here.
It’s not just about trucks.
It’s about community, opportunity, and seeing what’s possible.
Looking Ahead
Getting to cover an event like this for our first visit was an incredible experience.
We’re already looking forward to doing it again—with a better plan, more time, and even more to share.
We’ve got a lot more coming from MATS 2026 over the next few weeks, so keep an eye on our socials—we captured more than we could ever fit into one weekend.
Final Thoughts
If you’ve never been to MATS, we’d absolutely recommend it at least once.
And if you were there this year—what was your favorite part?
