The Stories Between The Miles

A few months ago, everything felt new.

New company.

New trailer.

New routines.

Now, somewhere between another cross-country run, our fifth Sapp Bros Road Trip Rewards Rally badge, and getting ready for our first Monterey Car Week, we've realized something.

We're no longer just learning this new chapter—we're living it.

One of the biggest surprises hasn't been the incredible vehicles we get to transport. (Although, trust us, they never get old.)

It's been the people.

Every collector car has a story.

Sometimes it's a lifelong dream finally coming true. Sometimes it's been in the family for generations. Sometimes it's a restoration years in the making. And sometimes it's a story we'll never be able to share publicly—but we'll always remember.

Those conversations have become one of our favorite parts of the job.

We may only spend a short time with each vehicle, but hearing why it matters to someone reminds us that we're not just moving cars across the country.

We're helping move memories.

That's a responsibility we never take for granted.

As we've settled into enclosed transport, we've also found ourselves settling into new routines.

The trailer has become more than just equipment.

Before every major trip, we spend time making sure it's ready. Recently that meant fresh guide stripes, a deep clean, organizing every compartment, and making sure everything is exactly where it belongs.

Most people will never notice those little details.

We will.

And so will the owners who trust us with their vehicles.

To us, taking care of the trailer is simply another way of taking care of the cars inside it.

Not every memorable stop revolves around work, though.

One evening recently, we found ourselves at The Gantry, enjoying dinner surrounded by more than a century of local history while overlooking the working port. It was one of those places with an old-school character that immediately felt like us. Moments like that remind us why we always make time to explore the communities we travel through instead of simply passing by.

Now our attention is turning toward Monterey.

In just 24 days, we'll experience Monterey Car Week for the very first time.

Phillip is looking forward to meeting so many of the people who make the collector car world such an incredible community.

Dasha can't wait to soak in the history, experience the atmosphere, and—let's be honest—plan a few outfits along the way.

We're especially excited to see the Grand Sport headed to auction. After getting an early look at the new C8 Grand Sport during Corvette Bash, seeing another important chapter of Grand Sport history at Monterey feels like one of those full-circle moments that makes this journey even more special.

Sometimes we catch ourselves thinking about how much has changed over the past few months.

But then we realize something else.

The best part hasn't been changing jobs.

It's been discovering that every mile comes with another story waiting to be told.
